Cape Breton University invites applications for an Assistant Professor in its new Bachelor of Social Work program. The ideal candidate will be committed to teaching, research, and service and will possess a passion for the principles of social justice and advocacy in the context of social work and beyond.

In addition to superlative teaching skills, it is expected that the successful candidate will have an active research record, as demonstrated through conference presentations, academic publications, technical or policy reports, successful grant applications, and/or evidence of community-engaged research.

The candidate must hold a PhD in Social Work, have solid practice experience in the field of social work, and experience teaching in adult education. Applicants must either be currently registered as a Social Worker with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers or be eligible for registration. Excellent candidates with an PhD in a related field and MSW may be considered by the search committee.
