Aid the Tour Boat Captain with narrating the nature tour.

Telling stories and teaching tourists about puffins, eagles, seals and other wildlife on the islands.

Talk to customers, answer questions, help them out

Caring for the passengers while on tour.

Assist Captain in Emergency procedures

Do some boat cleaning chores.

This job is in rural Cape Breton, in an area
with no bus service. Reliable transportation is a requirement. -
Often work with direct supervision

Semi-outdoors work, inside a covered boat, even when raining
Requirements
- Some birding knowledge is an asset
- Comfortable with public speaking.
- Well Spoken, ability to memorize speeches
- Customer Service, more specifically tourism related is an asset
- Teamwork ability is important
- Know a second language either French or German is an asset.
- Have taken or willing to take Marine Emergency Duties course, 4-day in-person course
