The Cape Breton University (CBU) invites applications for two (2) Full-Time Continuing position in the School of Science and Technology in the Engineering Department as the rank of Instructor. This position will commence December 1, 2025 (or as soon as possible thereafter).

The successful candidate will perform the duties outlined in Article 43.06 in the NSGEU, Local 18, Teachers’ Bargaining Unit Collective Agreement and will be responsible for the delivery of courses and related duties within the Bachelor of Engineering Technology Degree programs and/or Engineering Transfer programs.
Candidates shall, as a minimum requirement, possess a Bachelor of Engineering (Elec, Envi or Mech) or Applied Science Degree. Preference will be given to candidates with Professional Engineering designation or eligibity to register with Engineers Nova Scotia or candidates with a Masters level of education. Candidates should have 5 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Electronic/Electrical Engineering
- Manufacturing or mechanical design
- Industrial process control / Industrial Instrumentation
- Consulting engineering in a related field
- Environmental engineering
- Civil and environmental design
In
all cases teaching experience will be considered an asset.
