- Operate and oversee the farm feed mill in producing approved feed recipes appropriate to flock age and production stage; verify ingredient selection and correct batching.
- Coordinate feed production, ingredient stocks, storage, feed-truck loading and barn deliveries; supervise assigned operators and monitor feed-bin levels and consumption.
- Inspect feeding and watering systems, identify restrictions, leaks and abnormal consumption, and arrange corrective work to maintain uninterrupted access.
4 Monitor barn
climate, sanitation and manure removal
- Monitor computerized barn-control systems for ventilation, lighting, temperature, humidity and related environmental conditions; respond to alarms and deviations.

6 Maintain
production quality, records and safety compliance
- Coordinate egg collection and on-farm egg handling; monitor product quality and communicate with grading or egg-processing personnel about handling, flow or quality concerns.
- Maintain or verify accurate records of flock performance, feed usage, staff assignments, maintenance, production quality and incidents using the farm’s paper or digital systems.
- Monitor and enforce workplace safety, food safety, access control and biosecurity requirements, including use of protective equipment and appropriate reporting of hazards.
