City Print+ is looking for a Shipping & Receiving Coordinator to join their team!

 

City Print + is Cape Breton’s hub for Print Work & Promotional Products. We’re proud to be a 100% Cape Breton-owned and operated business.  Since 1973, City Print + has been a leader in the print industry in Atlantic Canada. In 2017, we expanded with the launch of our promotional products and apparel division. Now offering a huge range of printing, signage, promotional products and branded apparel, our goal is to be a one-stop shop for our customers.

Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator supports the efficient flow of materials, supplies, and completed orders throughout City Print+ operations. This position is responsible for receiving and organizing incoming shipments, maintaining inventory and storage areas, and preparing customer orders for accurate and timely shipment. Working closely with production and operations teams, the Coordinator helps ensure materials are available where needed while contributing to an organized, efficient, and collaborative production environment.  


As the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator, your key responsibilities include:

  • Receive, verify, organize, and distribute incoming shipments and materials, identifying and communicating any discrepancies or issues.
  • Maintain organized receiving, storage, and inventory areas, including labeling, staging, replenishing, and supporting periodic inventory checks.
  • Prepare, pack, label, and ship completed customer orders, ensuring accuracy and completeness before shipment.
  • Prepare and review packing slips, shipping documentation, and related records, while supporting associated administrative and billing processes with the Receptionist as required.
  • Coordinate materials and supplies to support efficient production and order fulfillment across print, promotional, apparel, and other production areas.
  • Collaborate with team members across production and operations to support daily workflows, shifting priorities, and overall efficiency.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas and assist with additional operational duties as required to help the team meet deadlines.

 What you need to succeed:

  • Previous experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory-related roles is preferred.
  • Familiarity with shipping documentation, packing slips, and inventory tracking processes is preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, to maintain accuracy across shipping, receiving, and materials handling.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment, with the ability to adapt to shifting priorities and evolving workflows.
  • Have a positive attitude and the ability to contribute to a collaborative team environment, while also being able to work independently.

 Working conditions:

  • Regular physical activity including lifting, packing, moving, and staging materials.
  • Standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout the day.
  • Ability to safely lift and move items weighing up to 50 lbs, with or without accommodation.

 

The perks of joining our team:

  • Hourly wage of $18.75/hour
  • Full-time, permanent position with 40 hours/week
  • Hours of work: Monday to Friday, 8:00AM – 4:00PM
  • Cost-shared comprehensive benefits plan available after three months
