Position Summary

We are seeking a Kitchen Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, and enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen. Previous kitchen experience is an asset, along with a valid Food Handler's Certificate.

 

Responsibilities

  • Assist with food preparation and basic cooking tasks as directed by the kitchen team
  • Wash, peel, chop, and prepare ingredients
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, equipment, and storage areas
  • Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment
  • Assist with preparing baked goods, frozen meal production, catering orders, and menu items as required
  • Receive, organize, and store deliveries following food safety standards
  • Monitor and rotate inventory using proper food storage practices
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace health and safety procedures
  • Support the kitchen team to ensure efficient daily operations

 

Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a commercial kitchen is an asset
  • Valid Food Handler's Certificate (or willingness to complete course)
  • Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently when needed
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
