Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Health Care Aides to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in assisted living, nursing homes, and home care settings. The ideal candidate will assist with daily activities, medication administration, and personal care, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for seniors and individuals with disabilities. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those needing assistance with their daily routines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist residents or clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to seniors and individuals with disabilities
  • Administer medications following prescribed schedules and safety protocols
  • Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed
  • Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a hygienic environment
  • Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals
  • Assist with mobility exercises and transfers using proper techniques
  • Support residents with dementia or other cognitive impairments with tailored care approaches
  • Follow all safety guidelines and infection control procedures to ensure client well-being

Skills

  • Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home care is preferred
  • Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and working with individuals with disabilities is highly desirable
  • Ability to administer medications accurately and safely
  • Strong caregiving skills combined with patience, empathy, and excellent communication abilities
  • Ability to perform light cleaning and meal preparation efficiently
  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for others
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments
  • Flexibility to adapt to various care needs and schedules
