Salary: $47,741
JOB SCOPE: Under the supervision of the Supervisor of Transit, the CSC representative provides the first point of contact for customers entering or telephoning the Transit Operation. Representatives will greet the public, determine their needs and provide routine information, application forms and other documents to meet their needs. Administrative, data entry, and reporting duties are all a key part of this role.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Cash handling responsibilities; including preparing deposit slips.
- Cash, ticket, and transfer reporting for each route.
- Balancing daily transactions to ensure that money is collected and accounted for.
- Providing secretarial work for Supervisor or designate
- Monitoring schedules.
- Input time for Transit staff.
- Providing feedback on customer concerns and requirements.
- To catalogue and transmit requests for service to Transit Supervisor
- To provide general secretarial work as required.
- To perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
- An ability to work with a minimum of supervision.
- An ability to work with difficult people.
- Must possess high level of initiative.
- Must be a team player, eager to acquire new skills.
- Must be able to prepare cash reports.
- Must feel comfortable in making suggestions and recommendations.
- Familiarity with SAP Software would be an asset.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Grade 12 Diploma (or equivalent) plus, a relevant certificate from a recognized post-secondary institution.
- Equivalent combination of education/experience.
- Cash handling experience.
- Customer Service experience.
- A medical assessment including physical, vision, and hearing tests. Medical assessment must show the capacity of performing tasks of the classification.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
- Emergency First Aid/CPR Level A/AED
