Description
  • Inspecting the buildings for signs of wear or damage and making repairs as needed. Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, fire hazards and electrical systems. Contact tradespersons for major repairs when necessary. Perform routine maintenance tasks such as painting, drywall repair, and other general upkeep duties.
  • Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment needed for maintenance tasks. Make minor purchases as required to ensure that necessary items are always available.
  • Managing the budget for repairs and maintenance work ensuring that it is within approved limits
  • Coordinate the preparation of the main lodge, chalets, and other accommodations prior to the arrival of guests. Ensure that units are clean, well-maintained, and ready for occupancy
  • Respond to requests from guests for minor repairs or maintenance issues within the building. Address concerns promptly and effectively.
  • Conduct daily inspections of accommodations to identify any issues or potential problems. Take proactive measures to prevent breakdowns or malfunctions.
  • Ensure that security and safety measures are in place and functioning effectively. Implement protocols to address any safety concerns or emergencies that may arise.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as necessary. Supervise other workers or contractors involved in maintenance or renovation projects within the building.
  • Provide general assistance to skilled trade persons such as mechanics, electricians, carpenters, and plumbers as needed. Coordinate tasks and support their efforts to maintain the buildings.
  • Coordinating activities with other building staff such as housekeeping and receptionists
  • Coordinating maintenance staff with other departments to ensure that all work is done in a timely manner
  • Supervising other seasonal building staff
