LRDG offers distance tutoring services to federal public servants to help them develop their French as a second language skills, particularly in oral communication. Our pedagogical material is at your disposal; it's up to you to decide how you want to teach it to your learners.
In concrete terms, what will your daily routine be like?
- Establish a positive rapport and a solid understanding of learners' needs, while actively involving them.
- Deliver tutoring sessions
- Complete electronic administrative documents on time.
Additional information
Location: telecommuting across Canada
Status: self-employed
Clientele: federal public servants
Workweek: between 25 and 40 hours/week, depending on your availability
Availability: Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
Start date: as soon as possible
Hourly rate: $25.50 to $29.50, depending on the type of tutoring session + possibility of bonus

Requirements
What you'll bring:
- A university bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Excellent command of spoken and written French
- Good knowledge of spoken and written English
- Comfortable using information and communication technologies, in particular Microsoft Outlook and Teams, as 100% of tutoring sessions are virtual.
- Possession of a functional computer with webcam/video functionality.
- Professionalism, dynamism, creativity, ability to adapt to different types and levels of learners
- Tutoring or teaching experience an asset
- Knowledge of Canadian Federal Public Service Commission exams and levels A, B and C, an asset
