Description

We are looking for Carpenters, Siding Installers and Labourers for a restoration project in Inverness. In this role, labourers will be responsible for various duties on the construction site which may include but are not limited to: hanging siding, assisting tradesmen, carrying materials, etc.

Shifts are typically 8-10 hours a day, 5 days a week. Overtime paid as required.

Requirements

  • While no experience is required, experience is considered an asset
  • Hard-working people are needed
  • Ability to install Vinyl Siding and trim
  • Physical Job – working on scaffolding maybe required
  • Experience operating equipment (i.e. man-lifts and zoom-booms, etc.) is an asset
  • Desire to do quality work
  • Must be reliable, sober and able to work up to 40+ hour week (part time workers will be considered)
  • Must be dependable; able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Report all incidents, near misses, and equipment damage to site supervision
  • Ability to identify hazards
  • Assist with other duties as required

Additional Information

  • Pay will be based on experience, job starts immediately and there will be at least a months of full time work

St Mary’s apartments in Inverness (formally the St Mary’s Hospital) is in the final stages of a full restoration and we are looking for people to be a part of history as we restore a landmark building in the town of Inverness.
