About the Opportunity

Protocase is currently seeking Backshift Logistics Inventory Clerk to join its team in Sydney (Cape Breton), Nova Scotia Because we are an ultra-lean manufacturer focused on fabricating custom sheet metal and CNC machined products in 2-3 days, Protocase’s inventory of materials, fasteners and accessories is absolutely imperative to our ongoing success.

 

Essential Skills
While we would consider experience in a production facility in a logistical role a major asset, above all else, we are looking for keen people who are highly trainable, can follow procedure and enjoy working in a team environment. The following are other essential skills:

 

  • 1 or more years in Inventory Control or similar field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Following procedures with a strong attention to detail.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • A strong sense of urgency.

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and updating records.
  • Counting materials, equipment, merchandise, or supplies in stock.
  • Reporting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records.
  • Developing or improving upon inventory management procedures.
  • Stocking and distributing supplies, equipment or merchandise.
  • Compiling balance, price and cost reports.

 

 

About the Benefits

In this role the annual compensation rate, which consists of a base pay and productivity pay, ranges between $45,000.00 $58,000.00 based on a nominal 40 hour week.  You will also enjoy the following benefits:
