Be a friend who interacts and engages with residents in our communities. Resident Companions spend time chatting, sharing stories, participating in activities, and encouraging residents to live their best lives.
- Engaging residents by conversing with them and attending and participating in social activities and hobbies.
- Acknowledge residents’ interest, talents, and strengths and encourage residents to get involved in activities that interest them.
- Provide clear communication with the resident, family and team members.
Requirements
- You have a positive attitude.
- You have strong organizational, interpersonal, communication
- You are empathetic and culturally sensitive.
- You are able to maintain confidentiality.
- You demonstrate flexibility and a willingness to assist others.
- You are an active listener and can offer support and encouragement.
- You can provide a clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector check.
