Description
The Department of Health Science in the School of Education and Health at CBU invites applications for a full-time limited term position (1-year) at the rank of Instructor. This position will commence August 1, 2023 (or as soon as possible thereafter).

The successful candidate will teach courses in the Bachelor of Health Sciences (Public Health) program. Courses may include occupational health and safety legislation, occupational hygiene, municipal services, food hygiene, food quality, integrated pest management, public health inspection, waste management, communicable disease control, emergency preparedness, health promotion, public health administration, public health ethics, health risk assessment, or any other courses deemed appropriate.

This program is one of six approved educational programs in Canada accredited by the Board of Certification of the Canadian Institute of Public Health Inspectors (CIPHI). CBU has established excellent working and research relationships which provides an opportunity for collaboration with colleagues, community, agencies, and industry on research/development/remediation projects.
Requirements

Required Qualifications:

Candidates should have a relevant Graduate Degree or Undergraduate Degree with professional designation. Related experience in industry and/ or teaching in a postsecondary environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Candidates with teaching experience at the post-secondary level are strongly encouraged to apply.
Candidates with a certification such as CPHI, RM, CIHROHROHT or CRSP are preferred.
