Compensation Package: $65,000 - $80,000 annually, 3 weeks’ paid vacation, sick time, flexible schedule, benefits (negotiable) and more!

Core Accountabilities:
- Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the fund
- Responsible for the long-term organizational planning and execution
- Must ensure the company is constantly moving towards fulfilling its short-term and long-term objectives and does not diverge from its strategic guidelines
- Works on behalf of the investors, to build and manage the pipeline of opportunities- evaluating and working with founders/entrepreneurs- while establishing a visible presence and strong brand within the community and larger ecosystem
- General administrative tasks to finding and building relationships with potential businesses and start-ups, investors, incubators, accelerators, and everyone in between
- Responsible for branding, networking, and strategy development
- Responsible for process management, administration, triaging applications
- Identify situations and work through the process and pitch with each applicant
- Responsible for communication and program management on behalf of the Cape Breton Capital Group, while referring to general partners when needed
- Review and recommend investments to partners
- Develop and execute business strategies in order to attain the goals of the Cape Breton Capital Group
- Conduct proactive outreach to community partners, small businesses and organizations to grow the portfolio and investment opportunities of the group
- Communicate and maintain trust relationships with shareholders, business partners and authorities
- Act as the public speaker and public relations representative of the company in ways that strengthen its profile
- Analyze problematic situations and occurrences and provide solutions to ensure company survival and growth
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education with at least 5+ years of work experience
- Proven experience as Managing Director or other managerial position
- Demonstrable experience in developing strategic and business plans
- Thorough knowledge of market changes and forces that influence the company
- Strong understanding of corporate finance and measures of performance
- Familiarity with corporate law and management best practices
- Excellent organisational and leadership skills
- Can demonstrate basic knowledge of start-ups, business, and venture capital
- Has an evident eagerness to learn and grow
- Self-directed and self-motivated
- Adaptable, nimble, tenacious, and energized
- Community Builder and collaborator
- Resourceful, organized, self-aware and strong intuition
- Analytical, inquisitive, persistent, and diplomatic
- Decision maker and solutions-finder
- Must be able to work independently
