Job Summary

Cape Smokey is looking for a full-time Heavy duty mechanic, to start as soon as possible. The ideal candidate will be an experienced and versatile mechanic who has worked on various mechanical equipment. We are looking for someone who is a problem solver and a fast thinker. You must be able to work independently and as part of a team. This is a full-time and permanent position. This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking for a varied and interesting role, in a fun, ski resort environment.

Duties

Maintaining and repairing snow grooming equipment, heavy equipment, pickup trucks maintenance and repairs

Lifts and conveyor lift maintenance could be also part of the position.

Working alongside the maintenance department across the ski hill

Operating snow clearing equipment

Practice working in a safe working environment

Requirements

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license

A trade certificate is considered an asset

Fall Arrest is considered an asset

First Aid Certificate considered an asset

Education and experience in diagnosing and repairing various engines and vehicles

Having your own tools is an asset, but not a necessity

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities

Comfortable working outside in all weather conditions

Comfortable working at heights

Capable of lifting 50 lbs
